Position Title	Technical Writer (Technical publication)
Reports To:	Technical publication Manager
Location:	Bangalore

Nature of work:

• Individual & Team contributor

Purpose:

• To co-ordinate with global team and create/modify technical documents (Parts, Product information, Maintenance & Safety manuals)

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Originating, editing and proof reading of technical documentation.
• Download the cad models and BOM and create a illustration drawings as per the requirement.
• Create and maintain thorough, accurate, and concise end user documentation.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet all documentation deliverable deadlines.
• Manage workload and achieve results with minimal supervision.
• Report project status to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Execute ETO orders (engineering and design) of fluid/gas loading-unloading products and allied parts for oil and gas, chemical, fuel, and food and beverages.
• Creation of 3D part modelling, assembly, and detail drawing using Inventor and Auto CAD as per Ingersoll Rand standard, and PLM release in Vault and SAP.
• Apply design calculations to demonstrate capability of design.
• Creation of manufacturing drawings with necessary dimensioning and tolerances for all the required components and assemblies
• Preparing cover and transmittal sheets, uploading, retrieval, storage, and tracking of project documents. Job responsibility involves spending 50% of time on design and 50% on project document management.
• Cross functional & global team collaboration.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Familiarity with MS Word, Adobe In-design, Arbortext DITA, FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat Proficiency in Iso-Draw, InDesign, Adobe illustrator and Creo-paramatric.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Global teams.
• Must have good attitude and good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• 2-5 years’ experience in Technical Writing/illustration.
• Any degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
